8 slices smoked cheddar cheese
Ketchup
Mustard
1 head romaine lettuce

Preparation
-
Preheat oven to 425 degrees.
-
Top a large, foil-lined baking sheet with a wire rack. Place bacon in single layer. Bake for 15-20 minutes, until crispy.
-
Preheat a large pan over medium heat. Add butter and melt until foam has subsided.
-
Add sliced onion and cook until golden brown, about 10 minutes.
-
Add beef stock, bring to a simmer, and reduce until almost evaporated. Transfer onions to dish.
-
Preheat grill to medium-high heat.
-
In a small bowl, mix garlic, onion powder, black pepper, and salt.
-
Add dry mixture to ground beef and mix.
-
Add Worcestershire sauce to ground beef mixture.
-
Form ground beef mixture into 4 patties.
-
Grill burgers 5-7 minutes on each side, until an internal temperature of 160 F or the burgers are cooked to your liking.
-
Place 2 slices of cheese on top of the burger during the last 30 seconds of cooking and close grill lid to melt.
-
Add 1 patty, 3 slices of bacon, and 1/4 of the onions to each bun. Top with ketchup, mustard, lettuce, and sliced tomato. Enjoy!
