Caprese Grilled New York Strip Sandwich with Balsamic Glaze

Pair a perfectly grilled New York strip steak with ripe tomatoes and fresh basil and enjoy summer in a sandwich.

Ingredients

2 Aspen Ridge® Natural New York strip steaks

Salt

Cracked black pepper

2 ciabatta rolls

4 slices of fresh tomato

4 slices of fresh mozzarella

1/3 cup basil, torn

Extra virgin olive oil

Balsamic glaze

Preparation

  1. Preheat grill to medium-high heat.
  2. Season all sides of steaks with salt and pepper.
  3. Place steaks on grill and cook for 3-4 minutes.
  4. Turn steaks over and grill until an internal temperature of 135 F, about 5-6 minutes.
  5. Remove steaks from grill and let rest.
  6. Slice steak against the grain and layer on bottom half of the ciabatta roll.
  7. Layer two tomato slices, two slices of fresh mozzarella, and fresh basil on top of steak.
  8. Drizzle with olive oil and balsamic glaze and add top of ciabatta roll. Enjoy!
