Take your taste buds on a Korean culinary adventure that starts with a sweet and savory marinade and ends with a mouthwatering meal.
Ingredients
For the marinade:
1 small, unripe pear, diced
2 Tbsp minced garlic
1-inch piece of ginger, peeled
1/2 small yellow onion
3 Tbsp soy sauce
3 Tbsp light brown sugar
1 Tbsp sesame oil
For the skewers
1½ pounds Aspen Ridge® Natural Angus Ribeye Steak , cut into 1-inch cubes
6 wooden skewers
2 bell peppers, cut into 1 ½-inch cubes
1 medium onion, cut into 1 ½-inch cubes
Preparation
-
In a food processor, combine pear, garlic, ginger, and yellow onion. Pulse until a thick paste forms. Set aside.
-
In a large bowl combine the soy sauce, light brown sugar, and sesame oil; whisk until the sugar dissolves.
-
Add the paste from the food processor to the soy sauce mixture and stir to create marinade.
-
Using a large plastic bag or sealed container, cover the meat with the marinade, and allow to marinate for at least 30 minutes and up to 1 1/2 hours in the fridge.
-
Soak your wooden skewers in water, then proceed to add the bell peppers, onions, and cubed ribeye onto the prepared skewers in whichever order you prefer.
-
Heat an indoor/outdoor grill for several minutes and grill to desired doneness, or for about 8-10 minutes for medium-well.
-
Enjoy!
