Take your taste buds on a Korean culinary adventure that starts with a sweet and savory marinade and ends with a mouthwatering meal.

Ingredients

For the marinade:

1 small, unripe pear, diced

2 Tbsp minced garlic

1-inch piece of ginger, peeled

1/2 small yellow onion

3 Tbsp soy sauce

3 Tbsp light brown sugar

1 Tbsp sesame oil

For the skewers

1½ pounds Aspen Ridge® Natural Angus Ribeye Steak , cut into 1-inch cubes

6 wooden skewers

2 bell peppers, cut into 1 ½-inch cubes

1 medium onion, cut into 1 ½-inch cubes

Preparation

  1. In a food processor, combine pear, garlic, ginger, and yellow onion. Pulse until a thick paste forms. Set aside.
  2. In a large bowl combine the soy sauce, light brown sugar, and sesame oil; whisk until the sugar dissolves.
  3. Add the paste from the food processor to the soy sauce mixture and stir to create marinade.
  4. Using a large plastic bag or sealed container, cover the meat with the marinade, and allow to marinate for at least 30 minutes and up to 1 1/2 hours in the fridge.
  5. Soak your wooden skewers in water, then proceed to add the bell peppers, onions, and cubed ribeye onto the prepared skewers in whichever order you prefer.
  6. Heat an indoor/outdoor grill for several minutes and grill to desired doneness, or for about 8-10 minutes for medium-well.
  7. Enjoy!
