Beef Tenderloin Filets with Garlic Butter and Herbs



  • 4 Aspen Ridge® beef tenderloin steaks, 6 to 8 ounces each
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1/2 cup (one stick) butter
  • 6 garlic cloves, thinly sliced
  • 1/4 cup oregano, chopped
  • 1/4 cup basil, chopped
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons Cognac

  1. Melt butter in small saucepan. Add garlic, then remove from heat. Set aside.
  2. Season steaks with salt and pepper to taste. Grill to desired internal temperature, about 4 minutes per side for medium rare. Rewarm garlic butter, and add Cognac.
  3. Plate steaks. Drizzle with garlic butter, then sprinkle with herbs.
